A Little Bit About Kaylee

Thank you for all of your wonderful comments and emails after our first post. This process is not without its ups and downs and we so much appreciate your love and support. Here is a little bit of information about Kaylee. Her Chinese name is Qiu Kang Feng and she was born on February 2, 2011. She was delivered to the orphanage on February 3, 2011 (we hope to get more information about this while in China). When she was two days old she entered the care of a foster family. We were very glad to hear this. Hopefully, this will help in her attachment development. She has no teeth yet, but eats porridge, noodles and vegetable soup. She also loves sweets. (That's my girl!) We have been told she is very active and full of energy-she will fit right in with three busy boys. She is also fairly extroverted, but sometimes can be impatient (a natural Baroni). She loves to listen to music, play with toys, and be outside. Our last update on her said she weighs about 16 pounds at 10 months of age. As we journey through these next two months, we are constantly reminding ourselves of Psalm 37:7 which says "Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him". This is getting harder and harder everyday that passes and we do not have her home, but it reminds us that the Lord is in control of our lives. Thanks again to all of you for your support and prayers. We are so blessed to have a wonderful group of family and friends.

  2. Congratulations on your referral! We just returned from China last month with our 22 month old daughter Natalie Wanhan. We met her 7 weeks ago but we feel like she has been part of our family for much longer. Kaylee is adorable and such a lucky girl to have 3 big brothers to look out for her. I know she will be very loved and that you all will be so blessed to have her in your life.
